Unfiltered.
Do you see what I see?
Can you live a life without filters? Can you embrace authenticity, being true to yourself, and experiencing moments without the lens of societal expectations or digital alterations?
Living without filters involves being true to your values, beliefs, and emotions. It means expressing yourself honestly and authentically, even when it might be uncomfortable or goes against societal norms.
We often add a protective layer over us, shielding our vulnerabilities. Living without filters requires embracing vulnerability and allowing yourself to be seen for who you truly are, flaws and all. It requires a shift in mindset from seeking external validation to finding internal fulfillment. Living without filters means finding value and satisfaction in being true to yourself, regardless of external opinions.
Without filters, photographs would represent scenes in their natural colors and lighting, showcasing the true and unaltered appearance of the subjects or environments captured. Filters often modify colors, contrast, and tones, so without them, images would offer a more authentic representation of reality.
Unfiltered photos allow for the acceptance of imperfections. In a world where digital filters and photo-editing apps can alter appearances, unfiltered images showcase authenticity by revealing natural blemishes, wrinkles, and imperfections. This authenticity fosters a sense of relatability and genuine connection in a sea of carefully curated content.
As a human, your perception to things you are seeing and feeling every day is a complex interplay of sensory inputs, emotions, memories, and cognitive processing. Your subjective experiences are influenced by personal history, cultural context, emotions, and individual perspectives. Your perception is subjective, influenced by your unique consciousness and personal experiences.
But how can I make you see what I see? Here are a series of photographs I altered to allow you to see what my eyes saw.
What did your eyes see?
While it may be challenging to completely eliminate all filters from life, striving for authenticity and embracing unfiltered aspects can lead to a more meaningful and fulfilling existence. It involves an ongoing journey of self-discovery, self-expression, and a commitment to living in the present moment.
