The Devil’s Sea

The Devil’s sea is present in the Southern seas of Japan. Since the 1940’s ships have constantly vanished here. They were lost at sea even before sending an SOS. The Devil’s sea is also called ‘Mano Oami’ in Japanese, the ‘Dragons Triangle’. This sea is situated diametrically across the globe to the Bermuda Triangle and has some similar features about it. In fact it is called the Bermuda Triangle of the Pacific.

There have been stories told about the monsters of this sea which drew sailors to their death. When the disappearances of these ships were plotted, it ended up looking like a triangle. Paranormal studies say that the ships are not taken into the waves but to a paranormal dimension. Just like we have signals that are transmitted into radio waves that we can’t see, this paranormal dimension might be all around us, but we just can’t see it.

This area doesn’t just swallow up ships but causes disappearances of planes too. The Plane to Tokyo, the C97 didn’t touch the airfield after it crossed this point. 52 submarines were also lost during World War 2 in these seas.

A large ship called the ‘Dobbyshire’ which was well constructed to take heavy waves and storms disappeared into this monster sea a decade ago.

14 years later, after various tries to search for the vehicle, it was not to be found. But the families of the men who had died at sea wanted answers.

In July 1994, an expeditions team took a device called a ‘Sonar Sweep’ that would go to the bottom of the ocean and send pictures back to the Ship. This team wanted to be at sea for 8 days, the Sonar Sweep costing $6000 a day.

But all the Sonar Sweep dug up were pictures of rock, which some of the marine scientists thought to be wreckage. Unfortunately the Sonar Sweep traveled about 2.5 miles with the ship and then broke off due to the heavy pressure under the sea.

This area of the ocean has powerful typhoons all year round. It has about 30 killer storms happening every year. The waves reach up to a height of 60 feet, and they travel about 80 miles per hour like a meteorological monster.

The wrecks under this sea go up to about 32,000 feet down sea level and if Everest were to rise from this point, it would still be a few meters below the waves.

Paranormal experts say that there are alien life forces under these seas which swallow up the ships. Some sailors at sea have said they have spotted an object that emerged in these seas, circulated the ship and had a blue light that scanned the area.

But scientists explain this as earth’s molten core shooting out as bursts of light from the sea bottom.

It is still a mystery as to how these disappearances and strange appearances happened. And scientists will continue to ponder over the mystery that lies amidst these seas.
