Art on Display!
It’s been a while since I wrote something on Medium. So here I am sitting in a cafe, having some vegan food and doing some art. Let me tell you more about what work I am doing. I am basically preparing for an exhibition, so I have a lot of pieces I am doing over the month to display and sell. Here are some smaller pieces.
A powerful tiger stands on the edge of a cliff, its fiery gaze locked onto the blood-red moon rising in the night sky. The moon’s crimson glow reflects off the tiger’s fur, casting an otherworldly glow that blends fierce strength with quiet contemplation. The scene feels charged with energy, as if the tiger, bathed in the moon’s light, is absorbing nature's wild and untamed forces. The moment is still and alive, capturing the balance between raw power and deep, primal wisdom.
The fragmented shapes and abstract forms typical of cubism come alive as each magnetic piece fits together, allowing the viewer to experience the artwork from a new perspective. It’s not just a visual masterpiece but an engaging, tactile journey that reflects cubism’s core idea — seeing multiple dimensions and viewpoints at once. This puzzle offers a dynamic fusion of creativity and play, making art something you can build, deconstruct, and reimagine.
In this abstract piece, faces emerge within faces, layered through varying line thicknesses that weave together like a complex web of emotions. The bold, thick lines provide structure, while the thinner ones introduce subtle intricacies, inviting the viewer to look deeper into the hidden expressions and overlapping identities. Each face seems to tell a different story, yet they coexist in harmony, representing the fluidity of self-perception. The composition blurs the boundaries between form and meaning, embodying the shifting nature of human experience.
This pen and ink drawing features a simple yet delicate portrayal of a woman’s face, adorned with flowers that bloom from the top of her head. The clean lines of her facial features are minimalist, letting the expression remain subtle, while the intricate details of the flowers add a touch of whimsy and natural beauty. The contrast between the bold, structured face and the soft, organic floral elements creates a harmonious balance, blending human form with nature in an understated and graceful way.
These Madhubani-inspired bookmarks are vibrant, intricate miniatures that carry the essence of traditional Indian folk art. Each bookmark is adorned with bold, symmetrical patterns, rich colors, and detailed motifs of nature, animals, and mythology. The fine lines and geometric shapes characteristic of Madhubani art give each piece a unique charm, blending cultural storytelling with practical use. These bookmarks not only mark your place in a book but also serve as small, colorful works of art, celebrating the timeless beauty of Indian craftsmanship.
The cyanotype work featuring flower and leaf patterns beautifully captures the organic delicacy of nature in rich, deep blue tones. The intricate details of each petal and leaf are preserved in stark white against the bold cyan backdrop, creating a striking contrast that feels both serene and dynamic. The natural forms are immortalized in this simple yet elegant process, giving the pieces a timeless, ethereal quality. Each print feels like a fleeting moment from nature, frozen in time and transformed into a work of art through the magic of light and chemistry.
The T-shirt featuring a print of my cubism painting is a bold and innovative fashion statement. The abstract and fragmented forms of the cubism artwork come alive on fabric, turning the shirt into a wearable canvas. The vibrant colors and geometric shapes create a visually captivating design, making it a standout piece that reflects both artistic expression and personal style. Each wear becomes an opportunity to showcase your unique art functionally and fashionably, blending art with everyday life seamlessly.
There are so many more but this is all the time I have now. I have to get going to a clay modeling studio and get a model made! But here is a pic of the good food I had here to set you up! Tata lovelies!
